Is Type S suitable for high-pressure washdown?
Yes - it is rated IP69K, covering close-range, high-pressure, high-temperature jet cleaning.
What is the temperature range?
The enclosure sealing ring is rated -25 °C to +150 °C and the food-grade silicone cable seal is rated -60 °C to +200 °C.
Can I get threads other than metric?
Metric (M) is standard; PG and NPT are available on request.
Standard or narrow?
For tight installation spaces choose Type N; otherwise Type S is the default.
Key Features of Type S
• Double sealing - a blue H-NBR ring seals against the enclosure and a food-grade silicone insert seals around the cable.
• Anti-rotation grip - a gear-tooth elastomer holds the cable steady during installation and use, helping prevent twisting while the pressure screw is tightened.
• Drainable, easy-clean body - the streamlined body has rounded corners, no sharp angles and Ra < 0.8 µm surfaces to support drainage and easier cleaning.
• Rugged SS316L - corrosion-, impact-, acid- and alkali-resistant for demanding washdown environments.
How to Select the Correct Size
First match the AG thread to the equipment entry. Then select a row whose cable range includes the cable's outside diameter. Finally, confirm GL, H, D and SW1/SW2 against the available installation space and tooling.
Need a Slimmer Body? Type N
Where mounting depth or clearance is tight, the Type N (narrow) version offers the same hygienic design and sealing in a more compact body.
